I can perform a pretty cool trick that I like to show to clients, prospects, and fellow copywriters. I tell them that I can get on the Internet and within 5 seconds take them to a site where the home page copy will really stink.

You want to know the secret to this trick?

I merely type in the word “accountant” and go to the first page I see in the SERPS.  Accounting firms rarely have any good copy on their pages.  As a matter of fact, I often wonder if they are actually trying to repel business.

Maybe business is so good that people are beating down their doors to hand them money, because 99% of them have HORRIBLE web pages!

In this video, I use my secret weapon – The Ground Zero Copywriting Critique to show you just how bad they are and how to fix the problem using a real world example of a high converting webpage.

If you want to read the white page I wrote last year on this very subject, you can get it here: How to Increase Your Website’s Conversion Rate by 64%

Anyway, since I live in next to the Valley View Ferry, here, in lovely Kentucky, I’ve decided to critique three accounting firm’s websites.

NOTE:  These are excellent accounting firms, their website copy merely stinks on ice.  That doesn’t mean in any way, shape or form, that these businesses are bad.  As a matter of fact, as far as accounting and bookkeeping services are concerned, they are at the top of their game.

However, their website copy STILL stinks. (Sorry)

So watch the video and comment below and tell me what you think.
